Neyland is a compact maritime town on the northern shore of the Daugleddau estuary, best known as the terminus from which the Great Western Railway once launched its Irish packet service. The sheltered waterway and adjoining creeks carry a strong flow of lime and sycamore from the wooded slopes above the Haven; garden willows and hawthorn along the tidal margins provide early-spring pollen. Neyland marina and the mixed residential streets of the town sit among established garden trees, and the estuarine character of the Cleddau Arms supports wild flowers through the summer. Collectors cover swarms in the garden trees and mature sycamore along the marina approaches, in the hedgerow hawthorn on the hillside streets above the Haven, along the estuarine scrub and willow margins of the Westfield Pill inlet, and in the eaves and outbuildings of the older terrace streets running down toward the waterfront.

Gorse on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path begins flowering in earnest by March. Blackthorn and hawthorn follow on the sheltered hedges; sycamore and horse chestnut in Tenby, Haverfordwest, St Davids and Fishguard carry May. Lime and bramble fill midsummer in the towns. The Preseli hills contribute bell and ling heather in a quietly reliable August flow. Coastal sea-lavender, sea-thrift and dune plants along Freshwater West and Newgale add seasoning; ivy on stone-built cottage walls closes the year.
