Angle is a remote village at the tip of the Angle Peninsula, enclosing the western approach to Milford Haven. The peninsula is largely agricultural — low-lying fields of improved grassland and clover with dense hawthorn and blackthorn hedges on the sheltered eastern side. Gorse grows thickly on the exposed western headland above Freshwater West, and bramble is dense on the cliff slopes. The sheltered inlet of Angle Bay carries willow and elder along its margins. The isolated character of the peninsula means swarms often settle on exposed hedge banks or in the stonework of the old lime kilns above the beach. Pembrokeshire BKA covers the southern Haven shore.
Collectors cover swarms on the hawthorn and blackthorn hedges along the peninsula lanes, in the gorse and cliff scrub above Angle Bay and West Angle Bay, on the willows and elder margins of the tidal inlet, in the stone outbuildings of the traditional farmyards, and in the stonework of the lime kilns and old harbour wall.

Gorse on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path begins flowering in earnest by March. Blackthorn and hawthorn follow on the sheltered hedges; sycamore and horse chestnut in Tenby, Haverfordwest, St Davids and Fishguard carry May. Lime and bramble fill midsummer in the towns. The Preseli hills contribute bell and ling heather in a quietly reliable August flow. Coastal sea-lavender, sea-thrift and dune plants along Freshwater West and Newgale add seasoning; ivy on stone-built cottage walls closes the year.
