Cardigan — Aberteifi — is a small market town at the mouth of the Teifi, where the river broadens into an estuary before reaching Cardigan Bay. The town sits in a deeply hedged agricultural landscape of dairy farms, oak woodland and riverside otter country, with the Teifi marshes nature reserve immediately to the north providing unusual wetland forage.
