Bedworth is a former mining and ribbon-weaving town in north Warwickshire, sitting between Nuneaton to the north and Coventry to the south on the eastern edge of the old Arden countryside. The Nuneaton and Atherstone BKA covers the town, and the landscape around it — the old colliery reclamation meadows and bramble scrub of the Newdigate and Exhall colliery sites, the ancient parkland and lime avenues of Arbury Hall just to the north-west, the Coventry Canal hawthorn towpath hedges, and the hedged farmland remnants of Bedworth Heath — gives local bees a varied character season blending colliery-regeneration scrub with Arden estate forage.
Collectors regularly attend swarms in the older brick terrace eaves and garden walls of the High Street and King Street conservation area, along the Coventry Canal towpath hawthorn and elder hedges at Exhall and Bulkington, in the reclaimed colliery scrub and bramble at Newdigate Road, and in the garden sycamore and fruit trees of the residential streets south of the town centre.

Early flows come from blackthorn and cherry in the Arden hedgerows and oilseed rape on the lighter soils around Southam and Shipston. Hawthorn is abundant; sycamore and field maple fill the middle of May. Lime and sweet chestnut in the parkland around Warwick, Kenilworth and Stratford produce a strong June flow. Bramble and rosebay willowherb support July, and a solid ivy flow along the ironstone villages closes a long season.
