Typical swarm locations
Highcliffe Castle grounds lime and sycamore canopy and the walled kitchen-garden walls are well-known swarm sites in June. Chewton Bunny chine bramble and elder on the descent to the beach attract clusters on warm May days. Clifftop residential gardens on Lymington Road and Nea Road with mature ornamental trees produce garden swarms regularly. Older coastal bungalow chimney pots on the cliffside roads are a common cavity swarm location.
