Typical swarm locations
The Christchurch Priory lime trees and churchyard elder are a well-known swarm site in June. Stanpit Marsh coastal scrub and saltmarsh margins attract clusters on warm days. Riverside willows and hawthorn along Riverside Avenue and Fairmile Road on the Avon and Stour banks are regular collection locations, as are the eaves and chimney stacks of Victorian and Edwardian buildings in the town centre.
