Hanbury is a village south of Bromsgrove set among the wooded hills below Hanbury Hall, one of the finest early-eighteenth-century houses in England, managed by the National Trust. The surrounding parkland and walled garden carry a rich forage calendar — cherry and apple blossom in the orchard in early spring, then lime from the Hall's avenue trees in June, bramble in the park margins through July, and a generous ivy flow in autumn from the estate walls.
Swarms from the parkland lime and fruit trees at Hanbury Hall are a regular call; collectors also attend garden trees and hedgerow elders in the village, outbuildings at the farm holdings around Piper's Hill, and the hedgerow margins along Hanbury Road towards Stoke Prior.

The Vale of Evesham opens the year with apple, pear, plum and the last surviving commercial asparagus flowers. Oilseed rape fills the middle fields; hawthorn and sycamore line the lanes. Lime dominates the June streetscape of Worcester, Malvern and Kidderminster. The Malvern Hills bring limestone grassland herbs and a small late-summer heather supplement on the upper slopes; bramble is universal. The tail of the year still carries some traditional hop-garden forage around Bromsgrove, and ivy on the old black-and-white villages closes the season.
