Typical swarm locations
Collectors regularly attend swarms in the lime trees and old flint-and-brick walls of the Cathedral Close and St Ann Street conservation areas, along the riverside willows and meadowsweet banks of the Avon at Harnham and the Town Path, on the chalk grassland and sainfoin margins of the Old Sarum earthworks and the Woodford valley, and in the chimney stacks and eaves of the older city-centre properties.
