Chipping Campden is the most perfectly preserved of the Cotswold market towns, with its curved main street of honey-coloured limestone merchants' houses, its medieval wool church and the hill fort and limestone grassland of Dover's Hill rising directly above. The North Cotswold BKA is based near here, and the surrounding landscape — field maple, hawthorn, clover and sainfoin on the limestone — is among the most productive in the county for late-spring honey.
Collectors regularly attend swarms in the old orchard and garden walls of the High Street and Leysbourne conservation area, on the limestone grassland of Dover's Hill and Dovers Hill Common, in the dry-stone boundary hedges of the farmland towards Blockley and Broad Campden, and in the chimney stacks and Cotswold-stone roof voids of the older town-centre properties.

The Cotswolds give early blackthorn and hawthorn on drystone hedges, with limestone grassland herbs later. The Severn Vale brings oilseed rape, horse chestnut and hawthorn in the valley pastures.
