Typical swarm locations
Collectors attend swarms in the older stone and brick terraces and gardens of the mining-era streets, on the reclaimed colliery land and scrub to the south of the town, along the Loch Fitty bankside willow and alder margins to the north, in the parkland and mature garden trees of the town centre parks, and on the oilseed rape field margins and hedgerow boundaries on the Fife plateau farmland around the town.
